Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is the twelfth and last Jyotirlinga mentioned in the sacred texts. According to legend, Lord Shiva manifested here to bless his devoted follower Ghushma, whose unwavering faith led to the appearance of the Jyotirlinga. Located near the famous Ellora Caves, the temple stands as a symbol of devotion, simplicity, and divine grace. Built with red volcanic stone, the temple’s serene atmosphere and allowance for close darshan make it a deeply personal and spiritually powerful experience for devotees.
October to March is the best time due to pleasant weather. Maha Shivaratri, Shravan month (July–August), and Mondays are highly auspicious. Early morning darshan is recommended to avoid crowds.
