Ans. Approximately 6–7 km (south-west direction across Kshipra River). Travel time is 15–25 minutes by auto-rickshaw, taxi, or cab. Many pilgrims combine visits to both in one day, making it an essential part of Ujjain darshan.
Ans. From Ujjain Railway Station (~7 km): Auto, taxi, or local bus (15–20 min). From Indore Airport (~55–60 km): Prepaid taxi or cab (1.5–2 hours). From Ujjain Bus Stand (~6–8 km): Similar options. The temple is well-connected and located in a market area near Jawasya/Fatehabad road.
Ans. The temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Morning Aarti usually takes place around 7:00 AM and Evening Aarti around 7:00 PM. There is no entry fee for darshan. Wednesdays are considered particularly auspicious, so expect larger crowds on that day.
Ans. Since Chintaman Ganesh is located on the outskirts of Ujjain, accommodation options right next to the temple are limited to basic guest houses. For better facilities and easy access to both Mahakal and Chintaman Ganesh, it is highly recommended to book hotels near Ujjain Railway Station or the Mahakaleshwar Temple area.
